Modern technology gives us many things.

Garmin adds a touch of luxury to multisport watches with fenix Chronos

Garmin has added a touch of luxury to its hero fenix multisport watch with Chronos – a premium version of the product made with jewellery grade materials but also retaining its trademark performance.

The fenix Chronos will be available in three versions – titanium with brushed titanium band, steel with brushed stainless steel band and steel with vintage leather band.

Each fenix Chronos also comes with an interchangeable silicon sport band as well.

Garmin wants to offer customers a product that can provide a seamless transition between their training or hiking and their usual daytime and nighttime activities.

The fenix Chronos has a scratch-resistant sapphire lens with a 1.2-inch Chroma display which is backlit with LEDs so it’s easy to see in all conditions including direct sunlight.

Naturally, the watch has a 10ATM water rating so it can handle going underwater and dealing with the elements as well.

There’s also wireless connectivity so the fenix Chronos is also a fully-fledged smartwatch that can relay notifications and messages from your smartphone.

The device can also be linked to the Connect IQ app to download a range of free apps and widgets.

It’s also possible to create custom watch faces using your own photos with the new FaceIt app.

Of course, the fenix Chronos has full multisport navigation along with an omni-directional EXO antenna with GPS and GLONASS to support better satellite reception.

There’s also ABC sensors – Altitude, Barometer and Compass so you know the conditions and where you are.

Users can also monitor their heart-rate from their wrist with the fenix Chronos 24/7 instead of wearing a chest strap
