Warner Bros Discovery (WBD) will be launching its streaming service Max in Australia on March 31, 2025, and will offer an impressive catalogue of iconic TV shows and movies on demand.
Max is home to HBO and Max Originals and will also bring together Warner Bros, the DC Universe and Harry Potter along with Discovery and Cartoon Network.
Max will join Netflix, Stan, Disney+, Paramount+ and Prime Video in Australia and is set to change up the viewing landscape and offer yet another viewing choice for customers.
Plans and pricing are yet to be announced with the launch set for March 31.

“Combining an unrivalled breadth of high-quality content, legendary franchises and a strong product experience, Australians can look forward to the highest-calibre streaming proposition from March 31.”
Max will kick off with new series of HBO Originals and Max Originals including The Last Of Us, House of the Dragon, And Just Like That and Euphoria.
It will offer highly-anticipated new shows like It: Welcome to Derry – based on the Stephen King IT novel and Game of Thrones spin-off A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.

On the movie side, Max will also offer recently released Warner Bros titles and other back catalogue classics including Barbie, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, Twisters and movies from the classic franchises Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings.
Also available through Max will be TV favourites like Friends, The Big Bang Theory and Rick and Morty.
Max will launch with a few range tiers that will either be ad-free or ad-supported and support numerous streams at up to 4K quality.
Max will be available for subscription at www.max.com and via the Apple App Store and Google Play Store and can be viewed on smartphones, tablets, computers, gaming consoles, smart TVs and Hubbl.
WBD has formed a launch partnership with Foxtel and will offer subscribers a Max Basic Plan with ads for free on a compatible Foxtel iQ box.
