Apple continues to set the benchmark when it comes to tablets. The iPad is now available in a range of options and sizes.

The regular iPad line-up includes the iPad Mini 4 and the 9.7 inch iPad – both have Retina displays and have Touch ID fingerprint sensors built into the home button.

iPAD PRO – from $979

For the more serious iPad user, you can move up to the iPad Pro. It’s available in two screen sizes – 10.5-inch and 12.9-inch.

Apart from having larger screens than the regular iPads, the iPad Pros also have faster A10X processers to give them true laptop-like performance.

They also work with Apple Pencil so you can write and sketch on the screen.

SAMSUNG GALAXY TAB S3 – from $949

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 has a stunning 9.7-inch Super AMOLED display and includes quad stereo speakers.

Whether it’s for work or play, the Samsung tablet has got you covered.

The tablet also comes with an S Pen so you can write directly on the screen.

There are 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity which means you have the responsiveness of a real pen and paper.

The Samsung Galaxy Book is a 2-in-1 tablet that comes with a full-size keyboard so you get the benefits and power of a laptop and the convenience of a tablet.

The new Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 is a tablet designed for the whole family.

AMAZON KINDLE OASIS – from $389

Amazon’s Kindle Oasis has a larger 7-inch screen with 300ppi (pixels per inch) so the on-screen text looks just as sharp as print.

And for the first time, this Kindle is water resistant within IPX8 rating.

The sleek design is another standout feature with the device tapering to just 3.4 mm at its thinnest point.

But the centre of gravity will always rest in your palm just like the spine of a real book.
