HTC’s new U11 Life smartphone running Android One will be available next week

HTC U11 Life, the affordable new member of the U family of smartphones, goes on sale in Australia next week and inherits most of the flagship innovations of its HTC big brother, the U11.

It will be one of the first devices running the new Android One software available in Australia.

The device has a 5.2-inch full high definition screen and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 octa-core processor.

Android One is a streamlined and lighter version of the Android smartphone operating system which will be powering entry and mid-level devices to ensure consistent and reliable performance.

The HTC U11 Life takes advantage of Google’s software innovation and offers flagship features at a mid-range price.

The U11 Life incorporates features introduced on the top tier HTC U11 late last year including Edge Sense which lets you squeeze the device to perform useful tasks like taking pictures, opening apps or summoning Google Assistant.

Also onboard is a high quality 16-megapixel camera with phase detection autofocus and HDR boost as well as a 16-megapixel front camera for impressive selfies even in low light.

Google Photos will be the default storage app and customers can enjoy free and unlimited storage of their photos and videos in the cloud.

The HTC U11 Life has a liquid surface design and an acrylic glass rear panel.

The device also has an IP67 which makes a water and dust resistant.

Another great feature included with U11 Life is the USonic earbuds which can be optimised to sound better for you while also offering active noise cancellation.

There is also expandable memory and a fingerprint reader for added security

The HTC U11 Life will be available in Brilliant Black from March 14 for outright purchase for $599.

The device will also be available on post-paid plans exclusively from Vodafone.
