Sony unveils features of PlayStation 4 DualShock controller

Sony hasn’t revealed what the PlayStation 4 is going to look like but it has released some information about the new DualShock wireless controller.
The controller looks a lot like the previous version seen with the PS3 but with a few subtle differences.
The first thing players will notice is a small touchpad just above the analogue sticks in the centre of the controller.

Attention Call of Duty fans – there will be new downloadable multiplayer content for Black Ops II including four new maps and an all-new Zombie experience set in Alcatraz.
The new Uprising pack will debut exclusively on Xbox 360 on April 17 with the PS3 version to follow a month later.
This is the second DLC (downloadable content) pack from the award-winning developers Treyarch and Activision publishing.

Skylanders, the console game that brings toys to life, has been a huge success in Australia and around the world and now the next installment has been unveiled.
Skylanders SWAP Force will be featured at the Toy Fair next week in New York and has taken the popularity of the characters, each with their own unique powers, one step further.
The original game allows players to place a character’s figure on a portal that transports it onto the screen inside the game to battle against other characters and take part in adventures and missions.

The first eagerly anticipated DLC (downloadable content) pack of new multiplayer maps for Call of Duty Black Ops II is available now on Xbox Live.
Revolution – the first of what will be four DLC maps packs for the popular first person shooter Call of Duty Black Ops II - contains four extra multiplayer maps as well as a new Zombies map and a new Zombies game mode.
And, for the first time, the DLC map pack will also include an all-new weapon - a submachine gun called the Peacekeeper - designed purely for the multiplayer experience.

If you’re right into your shooter computer games then the new Mag Wireless Magneton Controller will make you feel like you’re right in the middle of the action.
The gun-shaped controller has two handles with controls placed within easy access near each one.
It has built-in motion sensors and a gyroscope so the device is also a motion controller that lets you control the direction you’re facing in a first person shooter game.

Many people are using their smartphones as a gaming device and a new product called PhoneJoy can add physical controls to enhance your gameplay.
Set to be unveiled at the International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, the PhoneJoy is a gamepad controller that can fit and connect to any smartphone.
It can do this with the patented easy slider mechanism so devices of any size can fit in the centre of the PhoneJoy controller.

Call of Duty Black Ops II is one of the most anticipated games of the year and Tech Guide had a chance to play the game ahead of its November 13 release.
The follow-up to the original Call of Duty Black Ops released in 2010, Black Ops II takes the game’s action from the 1960’s into the near future of 2025.
Black Ops II’s single player storyline is still a very closely-guarded secret by the game’s developer Treyarch and publisher Activision.

Elgato, the company known for creating TV tuners for Mac, PC, iPhone and iPad, has released a new device to make it easier for gamers to record and share their games.
Game Capture HD is a small device, slightly smaller than a portable external hard drive, that can connect to your Mac and PC and link your Xbox 360 or PlayStation to your computer.
The product has a built in H.264 encoder and comes with powerful software that than allows users to record, edit and share their gameplay high definition videos.
