Samsung unveils new NX300 and NX2000 smart cameras

nx3001Samsung has announced two new compact system cameras – the NX300 and the NX2000 – for excellent pictures which can be shared on the spot using wi-fi.

The new devices join the existing NX20 in the Smart Camera 2.0 range to provide not only a camera that takes high quality images but also a way they can easily be shared.

When the Smart Camera app is installed on the user’s iPhone, iPad or Android smartphone or tablet they can form a direct wi-fi connection to the NX300 and the NX200 to easily edit, share and back up their pictures.

Canon's new PowerShot N - the social media camera

powershotn4Canon has revealed the new ultra compact PowerShot N which includes built-in wi-fi and has been described as a social media camera.

Available in limited quantities from Ted’s Camera Stores, the PowerShot N has a small, square body that can give social media photo sharers a higher quality option for capturing their images.

The 12.1-megapixel camera is small enough to fit on your pocket and measures 7.7cm by 6cm and is 2.9cm thick when the screen and lens are closed.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH3 digital single lens mirrorless camera review

gh3mainTech Guide readers might remember how excited I was late last year when I first took Panasonic's DMC-GH3 for a quick test spin.

After having this DSLM (digital single lens mirrorless) shooter in my hands for an extended test run, I'm glad to say none of that excitement has worn off.

I can't say it's the best camera in its class simply because I'm yet to give all its competitors a try, but it'd have to come close to being the front runner. Here's why.
