School is back for another year with more students than ever using laptops in the classroom and requiring a portable back up hard drive that can handle the daily wear and tear.
Buffalo’s MiniStation Extreme can not only provide a back up to a student’s laptop and extra storage space for assignments but it is also compact and comes with US military grade shock resistance.
With these kind of credentials the Buffalo MiniStation Extreme can easily handle being tossed into a student’s backpack everyday.
The device comes in 500GB and 1TB capacity and have USB 3.0 connectivity for even faster transfer and write speeds which is handy for backing up and accessing large multimedia files.
The Buffalo MiniStation Extreme is affordable and lightweight and only slightly larger than a deck of cards so they are not going to take up too much room in a student’s backpack.
Also on board is a convenient wrap-around USB cable that snaps to the body of the drive when not in use.
It is permanently attached at one end so there is no risk of losing the cable and can easily be connected to a computer when required.
The Buffalo MiniStation Extreme is available now from Officeworks and comes in three colours – black, silver and red. It is priced at $89 (500GB) and $149 (1TB).
