Prometheus Blu-ray offers a second screen experience

The Prometheus Blu-ray Disc, available in stores today, has introduced a new interactive feature to allow viewers to watch bonus content on a mobile device while watching the movie.
Prometheus Second Screen is a free app for iOS and Android users to download to their smartphone or tablet.
The app can be synced with the film via wi-fi if the device and the Blu-ray player are connected to the same network.

New Blu-ray Disc box set celebrates 50 years of James Bond

It’s been 50 years since the first Bond film hit the big screen and to celebrate 20th Century Fox has today released Bond 50 - a collector’s Blu-ray Disc box set with all 22-films digitally remastered.
Bond 50 brings the entire James Bond collection – from Dr No to Quantum of Solace - together for the first time in full high definition on Blu-ray Disc.
The box set is beautifully presented in what looks like two books with two films presented on each page with glossy images from each corresponding movie.

Titanic finally arrives on Blu-ray Disc in 2D and 3D

After 15 years since it hit the big screen and re-wrote box office records, Titanic is finally available in full high definition and 3D on Blu-ray Disc.
There are number of special features which have been compiled including an in-depth exploration of the film, 29 deleted scenes and even an alternate ending.
The package also includes the National Geographic program Titanic: The Final Word with director James Cameron, more than 60 behind the scenes featurettes, a look at the visual effects and more than 1000 photos from the set.

Sony releases flagship S790 Blu-ray Disc player with 4K upscaling

Sony has just released its new flagship Blu-ray disc player with an array of superior features and connectivity options.
The BDP-S790 is built with the future in mind and includes 4K upscaling to deliver a resolution four times that of full high definition.
Earlier this year Sony released the VPL-VW1000ES – the world’s first 4K home theatre projector.

Chronicle is available on Blu-ray and DVD today from 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment.

Martin Scorsese’s first foray into 3D with Hugo proved a huge success after being well received at the box office and also rewarded with five Oscars.
The charming film tells the story of Hugo, a young orphan boy who lives in a Paris train station trying to work out the mystery of his late father’s invention.
But on his adventures Hugo comes across an old man who has a surprising connection with him which unlocks the mysteries of the man’s colourful past.

Based on George R R Martin’s popular Song of Ice and Fire book series, Game of Thrones has been meticulously and faithfully adapted to the screen drawing together the numerous characters and the complex relationships that exist between them.

The original Planet of the Apes film starring Charlton Heston is more than 40 years old but Rise of the Planet of the Apes takes us back where it all began.
The film tells the story of a scientist working on a drug that could cure Alzheimer’s disease which is being tested on chimpanzees.
One of the subjects, Caesar, develops exceptional intelligence and emotions and sets the stage for a confrontation to determine the planet’s dominant species.
